Once More...with Talent

3/16/07 - Joe

Glancing back at the first comic I noticed...it looked like complete ass. Yeah, I know I was just starting out drawing these characters and all. But it was all over the place. To paraphrase from a character in 30 Rock "This mess is about to get raw like sushi, haters on the left." What does that have to do with the update, I dunno, I just liked that line. Thirty something comic episodes later I felt that I needed to close up the loose ends and update the nasty bits. I won't revamp eveything, just the earlier stages of Banana Gone Monkey! developments. Check out the extras section for stuff expunged from the main area. Rejected bits, lost material, and general nonsense.

Wait, there's do-overs?

Well, Joe was all obsessing about the earlier comics, so he felt the compulsive need to clean them up. I thought they were fine, but eh, I'm only the sorta writer/webperson, so maybe I can't understand the complicated nature of the artiste. On the up side, TJ's head is no longer crooked and weird looking.

Anyway, we've left up old comments for posterity's sake. Ah, the good ol' days. Hard to believe it was a mere five months ago.

Everyone Loves Monkeys, Right?

10/9/2006 - Joe

I cast thy first stone and give you bananas. If you notice I'm still finding my footing on the look of the characters and their story voices. Also getting continuity from panel to panel can be challenging. Things get better with each succeeding comic, I promise.

This is What Comes From Working in TSA (You Know, Those Guys Who

Take Away Sharp, Pointy Objects at the Airport)

10/9/2006 - Jessica

So, after working in an airport for about 4 years total (me 1 year, Joe 3 years), we still tend to think about the ol' workplace. Mind you, they're not fond memories, but at least we can take the pain away by imagining our monkeys on planes. (Not nearly as dangerous as snakes on a plane). This is before we had 8 monkeys (or animals who think they're monkeys) in our family.

We're still working on getting up all of the other pages (archive, characters, etc.), but someday... *looks away into the distance mistily* (Is mistily a word? I don't think so, but...)
